A 'One Nation under the groove' funketeer from back in the day, with a strong streak of disco queen. Parliament, Jocelyn Brown, Chaka Khan, Instantfunk and Sylvester get me on the dance floor. Disco. reggae, r&b, and soul also work for me. Guilty pleasure: '80s New Romantics synthpop, the naffer the better - think Kajagoogoo. Happily ensconced in the beach sands of Byron Bay, NSW, but missing the cobblestones - and club culture - of ol' Blighty, still the dance gold standard. Does London still swing? You betcha!
