Boa Kusasa are 2 piece Jake and Dean, based deep in the rural South West of the UK. Boa Kusasa is a relatively new project, but the duo have been working together for well over 10 years. Both proudly of DIY rave heritage and long time soundboys/originators of the well respected Sound-system known today as Glastonbury festival’s “Babylon Uprising”
Sonically, Boa Kusasa deliver driving percussive rhythms, laced with melodies sung on instruments from the farthest quarters of the globe. More local however are the ever-present haunting undercurrents of their productions, inspired by the landscapes of their surroundings. Despite their music sounding like a trip around the world, the mood is anchored in the unique dark and historic spaces of the Somerset Levels.
