Launched on Thursday 30th October 1997 as a breakbeat club at the then 275 capacity Cavern Club Exeter, first guest was the Orb’s Dr Alex Paterson. We moved to Friday nights with the second party with guest Fluid (now known as General Midi) other early guests were 808 State and a very young Phantom Beats. Soul of Man played there second ever gig at Beatz & Bobz and Rennie Pilgrem debuted his seminal Emit remix at the club after finishing it on the train on the way down to Exeter.
