Born and raised in Rheinfelden, Switzerland, since his youth LUIDEEJAY has been contributing to the spread of Disco Music, predominantly Italian, in the Basel region. Countless trips to Rimini to places like Altro Mondo Studio, Peter Pan, and other discotheques of the time have left an indelible mark on his tastes as a DJ. His visits to Italy's trendiest record store, Disco Più, always ended with the purchase of numerous new pieces to offer to a limited audience. But the great tradition of Funk, Soul, Jazz, and Rap from overseas also helped shape his favorites. James Brown first and foremost, followed by Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, Sugar Hill Gang, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Patrick Cowley, and the entire Italo Dance scene of the 80s completed the picture. Then came the 90s, the consecration. As a DJ, he wins the DJ Contest for Northwestern Switzerland and qualifies for the octaves at Black Out in Zurich.
