Hailing from the brutal blue-collar pub circuit of Newcastle Balescream have thrashed, moshed and pounded all over Australia. Their philosophy is to conquer all with their idiosyncratic blend of Melodic Death, Groove and Thrash Metal. Balescream besieges venues of all sizes unleashing a gargantuan twin-guitar attack (Mitch Duckham & Gus Hodges), far-beyond-driven bass (Sam "Jangles" Brown), relentless virtuosic drums (Tom Batty), and ocean-parting vocals (Jake Hectic Gillies) for an unforgettable night of headbanging.
As mainstayers of the Newcastle scene Balescream have played with local giants Sabretung, The Seer, War Faction, Exit for Freedom and many more. They also make a point of visiting their brothers and sisters in arms in towns that others won't touch.

Balescream embarked on a two-week tour of the Eastern Coast in late 2011. They hold a prime spot in the Monsters of Metal festival and played at the widely successful Steel Ball
