We currently broadcast weekly programs from a studio storefront in DUMBO, Brooklyn. We are also always looking for community partners and collaborators to help us bring BBOX Radio to the streets of Brooklyn, as a special pop-up radio experience or event partner.

OUR FIRST STUDIO — THE BOX

The original BBOX Radio cargo container studio was our home from July-December, 2011. The cargo container radio station was crafted by BBOX designer Daniel Meredith, in the style of Donald Judd, with adoration for Shaker materiality and use. It served as both the infrastructure for the production of our first season of over 20 weekly shows, and as a control station for live performances and events at our site in the Dekalb Market in downtown Brooklyn.

The studio’s furnishings were designed and built by BBOX staff and friends, using 3rd Ward’s metalsmithing and woodworking facilities in Bushwick, Brooklyn. BBOX diligently found creative and sustainable methods to respond to ever-changing site condit
