Using record lathes, turntables, salvaged gear and plenty of bass they created an experimental groove of hard core techno break beats and bass feed back. Jack Schitt and DJ BB have been collaborating on electronic music and events from the time they met in 1995 and have been rocking out as the Audiodics since 2002. BB “we both come from a tradition of prog rock like Frank Zappa and ELP, and experimental punk rock like Negitiveland and Crass."Often confused for an EDM performance group “we are more like a punk rock band mixed with a science demonstration” explains DJ & record cutter Jack Schitt who goes on to say “we use the DIY ethic in many process it takes to create our music”. He is referring to creating audio samples, designing & building turntables, and modifying electronics. As well as cutting most of the records, onto picnic plates, laser discs, or pieces of plastic with a record lathe. With his small portable lathe he will cut loops for immediate playback, live.
