Murwillumbah vs Morocco

The first time playing for a large group outside of my immediate circle was at a renegade party amidst the Numinbah valley. We called it Golden Hours, and it was pretty magic. Held in the thick of early covid lockdowns, tension was high, yet we managed to throw an epic party. New friendships were made, and the idea of Dose Collective was born.
…
The set I played at Golden Hours was largely filled with Afro House inspired selections. Having grown up playing drums in various capacities, I wanted to express this during my foray into electronic music. I never recorded this mix, and (regrettably) haven’t played much Afro House since. So here I am, inspired by my debut set which I am reminded of each day during my drive, when a close friend asks me to record a set for her Hen’s party in Morocco. Something ‘African inspired’ she requested. You son of a bitch, I’m in.
