As the Sheriff Of BoomTown, I'd be doing the festival a disservice if I didn't have a healthy collection of country and bluegrass music, but it's rarely I get to DJ with it. This year at Shambala Festival I managed to play a set of full on stomping Hillbilly music at Madame Bayous and it went down so well I had to put some of the tracks in a mix. So here it is! This is not sit down music, it's jump around swing your saddle hoedown stuff that was made to party to (but also great for everyday tasks). However it also shouldn't be played at the local village fete's charity barn dance that your nan's best mate organised. Some of these songs revolve around drinking, trucking, f**king, taking cheap drugs and getting in trouble with the police (sometimes all together). There is also some bad language. You have been warned.
Not many people would realise how much fun they could have to this kind of music so please pass the mix on if it brings you joy.
