I have made a transition to Linux Mint. I love Linux. This transition also enables me to use Ardour for audio production.
However, this means I cannot use VirtualDJ until I switch to Windows again. Fortunately, I plan to get a good laptop soon, which will have a Windows 7 partition. While I could switch to Windows on my desktop computer, I don't want to. The audio quality isn't worth the slowness. Besides, the version of VirtualDJ I will be installing on my laptop will be a paid version, not the Home version I've been using.
Overall, this drastic change will facilitate better mixes and the production of my OWN music. I do not plan on signing on with any record label, so any money I make from my music will go to me (except any tax) and not some huge corporation.
Once the transition is complete, I will be more active on both SoundCloud and Mixcloud again. I am looking forward to this! I miss it!
