Pilot (born as Torkorian Montrell Estis) was born in Monroe, Louisiana and moved to North Atlanta, Gwinnett County in the summer of 1995 at the age of 9. Pilot just like a regular kid played football for the local recreation league while growing up. In school Pilot was always the most intellectual. Although Pilot hated writing he found a love in poetry at a young age and started writing poems and learned the different types of poetry. Also as a young kid around the age of 13 Pilot started to write music over industry instrumentals given to him by a friend that already considered himself a rapper. Pilot remembers writing his own 16 to the whole Baller Blockin Album by Cash Money, focusing on high school Pilot decided to give rapping a rest deciding to write every once in a while. Pilot always kept his early songwriting under wraps because it wasn’t to his mother’s liking for him to become a rapper, so the confidence wasn’t there. Pilot entered Albany State University in the fall of 2005
