What crisis? No cloud bursting this year. Few surprises, but happy to see both Laura's blooming and James & John peak on their second albums (great gigs too this year guys!). Always great to welcome back old Heroes and mr. Bowie really broke my heart with his bitter sweet and Berlinesque song about growing old - with or w/o dignity. Daft Punk, creme de Paris brought back one of David's Chique friends and though le Hype was GRANDE, I had many sunny mornings spinning the record. We all got lucky I guess. Kanye's still a thrill and Jonathan made me grab my old Jackson & Crosby records while maintaining his peculiar Floyd twist on things. Israel shows promise, but it's a bit of a trip back to Zuma On The Beach. Great re-issues for Miles and Shuggie and most surprisingly great stuff from Dylan's lost weekend. So what's new Pussycat? Hoping for more buzz & danger next year. Peace!
