Is one able to convey who they truly are through the confines of social media. For therein lies a paradox, while it is the most debase forms of media, hinging completely on the presentation of the false self one cultivates out of fear of rejection, it is not social, communal if you will.
Therefore it is with no surmise that one could say that social media is the presentation, en masse, of the collective ego, the driving force in societies separation from God. This is not to say that it is completely useless, for it serves its purpose as a tool. However, like any other tool it can be used to create or kill. A chisel was used by the great renaissance sculptors, and yet by the most debase killers throughout history.
What is the difference, ones will. The will to create or kill community and real relationship.
