Old Bloke

I am Old Bloke. I’ve spent a ridiculous proportion of my life listening to music, playing in bands, managing them, doing A&R and putting records on the radio—including ten years with BBC local radio. Occasionally, music has got me into serious trouble. Ah, the stories I could tell. And possibly will.

Old Bloke: New Music brings together new discoveries, the records they remind me of, great lost singles and occasional outbreaks of utterly shameless pop enthusiasm.

I’m not here to tell you music was better in my day. I remember my day. We have plenty to apologise for. I’m here because finding something brilliant that I’ve never heard before still excites me—and I want to play it to somebody.
