Lisbon, Portugal

White Soba, grew up between Angola and Portugal, influenced by his father's love for jazz, although he didn’t appreciate jazz as a child, its impact would shape his music. While in Angola, as a novice DJ, he achieved a dream by playing at Elinga Teatro/Club, the underground hub for electronic music, where artists like Robert Babicz and Rui Vargas performed.

Since moving to Lisbon in 2022, Gonçalo has played in venues like Catch Me, Lodo by Cais, Bom Mau e o Vilão, and Ferroviário. He was a weekly resident at Reverse in Estoril before becoming the resident DJ at Montes de Argila by Montargil Dam.

His musical ethos is encapsulated in the phrase, "Jazz is my Religion & House is my Groove." He also won the Oxigênio radio program, "Last Night The DJ Saved My Life," with a jazz-inspired set, marking a key moment in his journey.
