So I know about as much as a cat does about music, but I’ve got a MacBook with GarageBand which lets me make mashups out of coloured blocks. If someone had shown me how to make songs happen like that when I was younger I expect I’d know loads more than a cat does about music.

I mostly enjoy mixing up the hip-hop, reggae and drum'n'bass tunes of my youth into new things that don't exist yet; if proper musicians had made them, I wouldn't have to.

Anyway, I’ve made these and a few more and some of them have been played at a couple of dances and parties and people danced and it was a good buzz, makes me want to make more and get better at it. All feedback is sincerely gratefully received but please remember to explain it to me as you would a cat.

I'd made more things than this on SoundCloud until they decided I couldn't use other people's music (which is kind of the whole point); there are some other bits and pieces on YouTube with shoddy videos and everything.
