Big on the narcissicism of minor differences, I find a lot of what is touted as "Indie" these days to be pretty shoddy. These podcasts are, for one, an effort to find good bands and bring them to the attention of people. For two, an effort to fend off the solidifying of my tastes around bands that were popular ten years ago. Thirdly, a chance to give myself a gigging agenda.
