"The Plain Clothes Warrior," Wayne Lyrics has been around the Jamaican reggae scene for several years. He began his musical career on sounds like "Jack Ruby," "Magnum" and "President Hi-fi."

Born in Carron Hall St Mary, Jamaica he grew up in Spanish Town to date he has recorded over fifty singles and worked with many of the Island’s top producers and labels. An original in his own right his unique Sing-Jay style has inspired top names, from inception he has been a DJ who has steadfastly delivered conscious and uplifting lyrical content.

His first recording in 1989, "Don’t Dis the Programme," on the "Sea Breeze" label, brought him to the attention of the Island’s producers. More recordings for "Barry O’Hare’s," "X-Rated" label produced songs like "Shot a Lick," and the hit "Pray To God," featuring "King Lorenzo," which was later released by "Runn Records," in Holland, bringing Wayne to the attention of the European audience.
