WATUSI is the Reggae / Worldbeat group since 1983, original artists on World Beatnik Records, pioneers of worldbeat sound and a legend of reggae music in Texas, based in Dallas, heard round the world.
WATUSI has performed from Hawaii to Jamaica, Cancun, Cozumel, Mexico, Costa Rica, and heard all over earth, with an eclectic cast of international players, a worldbeat diversity of musical flava, perpetual positive message and vibes, and a world of riddims. WATUSI sprang from a seed planted by the original Wailer, Peter Tosh, meeting and inspired in Dallas 1977, nurtured in Jamaica in 1981, and grew into WATUSI in 1983.
