Washington 80 is a musical project born in Milan and developed within the events of the Tramonto Volume collective. The two members both drummers raised on the same soil but shaped by different trajectorie find a shared language: transforming a roots, street-level matrix into a sonic landscape suspended between dub techno and ritualistic downtempo.
Every live performance is built around the space, the sound system and the frequencies that space can sustain.
Drum machines, samplers and synths interact with acoustic instruments, creating an organic, ritual and unrepeatable sonic environment. Each performance is an analog sound ritual created in the moment, a landscape that forms and dissolves, leaving only vibrations in memory.
Washington 80 is music that rises from the body passes through machines and returns to the earth.
