I started getting seriously into the craft of DJing round the turn of the millennium. I'd been collecting 12" vinyl for a year or two prior to that, but the first record I bought after acquiring my first proper turntables was 'A Plump Night Out' by the Plump DJs. This signalled the start of a prolonged love affair with NuSkool Breaks and other breakbeat-led styles, padded out with regular forays into House, Techno and Drum and Bass.
Over the next few years I graduated from playing at house parties to private functions, and eventually prominent London venues (The Fridge, SEOne, Turnmills, Mass, Fire) as well organising a successful monthly club event, NORQ!. An eclectic approach to genre in my sets has seen me share the platters that matter with a diverse range of artists, from the likes of the Liberators and D.A.V.E. the Drummer to John B, BK, Aquasky, Ils and Precision Cuts plus luminaries from many other dance music genres.
