I grew up on Long Island and look back with gratitude on things from my childhood and young adulthood. The cars, the styles, movies,television and most of all the music. In the 60’s and 70’s, I remember listening to WABC, WCBS and WNEW featuring iconic DJ’s like Dan Ingram, Chuck Leonard, Roscoe, Jay Reynolds, Cousin Brucie, “The Wizard” Bobby Wayne to name a few. In the 80’s WLIR, 92.7 FM’s DJs paved the way for many new artists that other stations didn’t highlight. The best part of this site is being able to hear broadcasts that feature these DJ’s. They really were an integral part of the broadcasts. I’m grateful to all the people I follow on here and the content I am able to listen to and repost. Thanks.
