आनन्द = Ananda = bliss. also joy, delight. it is more of the sould, than of the body.

Ananda is one of five attributes of the divine -
sat = truth, existence
chit = consciousness, awareness
Ananda = bliss
iishitA = authority, lordship
svAtantrya = independence
