VIAl (AKA Peyton Abrams) is a musician, music producer, audio engineer, and DJ originally from Houston, TX. After his apprenticeship at Barron Studios (Where Kendrick Lamar tracked the vocals to his hit “Backseat Freestyle”) Peyton became inspired by the City’s signature “Chopped N’ Screwed” sound. Taking this music, with its laid-back groove, pitched vocals, glitchy cuts, and over-saturated sub-heavy basslines then melding it with the sound design of modern bass music has resulted in the sound of VIAl. After relocating to Portland, OR a couple of years ago to finish his Recording Arts Degree, VIAl has already begun establishing himself as a new participant in the Northwestern Bass Music Scene. Having performed alongside renowned electronic artists and DJs such as Antiserum, AMF, Carbin, Crimes, DeafMind, Gladiator, Minesweepa, and UFO!
VIAl is also a part of H.A.W.T. (Having A Wonderful Time), a newly formed Portland / L.A.-based collective of like-minded and free-thinking Music Prod
