After launching his career at the start of 2018, Sam Valar has quickly joined a group of talented producers spearheading a new wave of progressive trance and hard dance music. Though born and raised in Durham, North Carolina, he moved to New York City in 2013. He now resides in the heart of East Village, just blocks from Manhattan’s legendary Webster Hall.
Classically trained from age 8, his style combines complex melodies with rich textured orchestral elements not typically seen in electronic dance music. Though he began producing orchestral scores at age 14, his interest in electronic styles exploded after hearing records from the likes of Oceanlab, Robert Miles, Hixxy, Armin Van Buuren, BT, Paul van Dyk, and Tiësto in the mid-2000's.
With 2018 releases on Infrasonic / Black Hole Recordings, Nanostate, Freegrant Music, and others, Sam Valar is one artist to keep your eyes on.
