Born in East London (UK) & based in Mumbai (India), DJ Uri has been rocking 2 Turntables since 1987. The depth of his collection and knowledge he has gained over the last 30+ years are a credit to Hip Hop culture. Musically, he fuses many genres and styles of music using Turntables, Finger Drumming & Loop Stations creating one seamless set showcasing skill levels of the highest degree.

With countless club & festival gigs both at home in the thriving Indian music scene and across Europe, he is definitely an International DJ. Starting out in the mid 80’s in the UK, Uri has had a solid musical upbringing being influenced by artists like Public Enemy, Run DMC and the Street Sounds Electro compilations.

DJ Uri is revered as an OLD SKOOL Legend in the Indian Sub-Continent, hailed as the first Real Hip Hop DJ/Turntablist in the country. Teaching the first wave of Scratch DJ's in India back in 1995, Uri is a real unsung hero of the music scene.
