The University of Greenwich's Educational Development Unit was set up to promote innovation and excellence in curriculum design and delivery. It acts as a catalyst for the growth of collaborative work, both within the university and into the Higher Education sector.

The unit has a strong national and international presence delivering the University of Greenwich's Post Graduate Certificate (PGCert) in HE, supporting CPD through the National Framework Agreement and training PhD students (including postgraduate researchers), in teaching and learning. The unit is also responsible for delivering the highly successful annual Educational Conference Series and the publication of Compass – our teaching and learning journal.
