“Some of my earliest memories are about music, listening to my Mum & Dad’s records when I was a kid, we had no telly so it was music, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Supremes and The Beach Boys……it’s my passion!”
A youth of the late 70’s and growing up in the 80’s Travis was gripped by the Mod Revival and Two Tone movement of that era, the kids had once again found music and style that belonged to them. This opened up a whole world of discovery, slowly linking together the chain connecting blues, R’n’B and Soul.
Having spent time in bands, playing guitar and singing, Travis started Djing around Reading as one half of the High45, establishing a regular slot a Café Iguana in the 90’s, playing 60’s Soul, Garage, R’n’B and Easy.
A move to Worcester in 2001 saw Travis playing some of the local bars and also a bit of Artist Management helping Robinson, a young singer songwriter, down the path to better things.
And now a show on Gold Dust Radio.
