Played my first gig at the age of 14 in the local parish hall in Rhoose, South Wales in 1974. Kung Fu Fighting & Rock you Baby kind of time, 8 track car stereo's were in vogue and Reel to Reel magnetic tape was state of the art in recording. I was there through the glam rock, Prog rock, heavy metal, punk and the disco era following and playing the top 40 tunes, I lost count of how many wedding receptions my mobile disco supplied decades ago.
It must have been at the end of the 80's that I became aware of commercialism in music and how the major record labels controlled the majority of music played on the radio so in rebellion I turned it off. That was the day I truly started to discover music and from that day on I stopped playing music that I did not personally enjoy and must have turned back to my roots for inspiration.
Looking back now I can see there has been a musical link for over 40 years right from the very first LP I ever bought in 1973 Diana Ross- Touch Me in The Morning.
