tongues and tones is a nomadic radio community and echo-system for language as sound, and for sound that speaks.

tongues and tones exists to let language be heard as sound before it is understood as meaning, and to let sound tell the stories that need no language at all. We gather voices, dialects, disappearing languages, mistakes, poetry, field recordings, music and silence from wherever people are making sound, and let them travel, untranslated, to wherever people are listening.
