Tomoki was born in New York City, NY on November 13th, 1994. He started playing drums at the age of 4 and started Eb Clarinet at the age of 6. At the age of 10, his father got him an alto saxophone. Sanders switched to tenor saxophone at the age of 14. Sanders been gigging since the age of 13 and had been performing around various schools, venues, weddings and clubs around Japan. He had his first recording as a sideman with the psychedelic rock band The Tengokubatake Japon (THE 天国畑 JAPON) on their second album, “Karomi No Step" [かろみのすてっぷ]. Sanders has also performed alongside Ravi Coltrane, Taylor McFerrin, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Shing02, Maurice Brown, Matthew Garrison, George Garzone, Hajime Yoshizawa, ROOT SOUL and Jack DeJohnette.
