I’m Tom. I am addicted to soul. Part of the resident DJ team at Rugby Soul Club. Spawned by the devil's music as the millennium approached, I must have absorbed soul music by osmosis in the womb. Car journeys as a child were punctuated by the family singing Jackie Wilson en masse. Adopted by soul uncles and aunts before my balls had dropped, I attended my first all-nighter at the tender age of 13 and found myself behind the decks soon after. My collection reflects my own taste rather than the requirements of any dance-floor but I hope that there’s as much joy to be found in gaily moving, lost to the music there is in my playbox.
