Bout ye.. I was thee youngest worker in the All Ireland Nightclub of the year between 1996-1998, rubbed shoulders with some top djs and often wondered how to get involved.. Little did i know how much money 'The Hobby' involved either, So fast forward to around 2002 i headed to my mates for a standard Sunday session on his Technics and knocked his neighbours door to borrow a brush and just as he handed me the standard sweeper said the glorious words "know anyone wanting to buy a set of decks"? I had to have a look, there they were a brand new set of 1210s with labels still on each plug.. I didn't have his asking price £300 but just bought a new ps2 a week earlier and traded it complete with games, dvds etc for the Rolls Royce of Turntables.. Still got them along with a set of 1200s from the Boom Boom Room and a set of Stanton Str8 150s i bought of gumtree.. Shit load of vinyl later and my djing set up consists of 2 1210s, 2 1200s, 2 Str8 150s, 2 Denon cdjs and an American Audio VMS4
