Tobia Lamare is one of the main players of the alternative scene in the land known as Salento, in Southern Italy. He’s been playing since the early ‘90s, both as a musician and DJ. His legendary parties have hosted international and underground artists (Dave Rowntree from Blur, Mike Joyce from the Smiths, Eddie Piller, Perry Louis, SnowBoy , Dean Rudland, Steven Brown from Tuxedo Moon and more). He has composed music for the theatre (Induma, Ca’ Foscari, Nasca, Gran Teatrino) and art installations (Michelangelo Pistoletto, Alice Pedroletti, Paolo Guido). He has also opened gigs for bands like Kings of Convenience and Iggy Pop & the Stooges. He has toured numerous times around Europe, playing in venues large and small, from clubs to bookshops, to huge festivals like Sziget in Budapest. In Ireland he played between the big smoke of Dublin and the big waves of the Atlantic coast. He’s equally at home playing for drunk farmers in Nashville-Tennessee or in folk clubs in London and Barcelona
