I grew up in the Pittsburgh rave scene. Attending my first party at the age of 13 I was hooked. In less then 6 months I was helping to promote events and meeting my new family.

I got my first pieces of vinyl right before my 15th birthday and Tao a.k.a DJ Distrust a.k.a Get Nasty was born. True to the pulse of Pittsburgh I hit the city with BASS!!

I played my first show before my 16th birthday and played at least 2 events a month for the next 6 years. During this time I also organized many Renegades, House Parties, Club Events,Raves,and I've opened for hundreds of headlining acts.

I threw my first event when I was 17 and continue to throw events both in PA and CA where I moved at the age of 22 to play alongside Johnny Butt and The Badfish a sublime tribute band.
