There's nothing special about what I do as a DJ. I just mix two tracks together and voila! But that process apparently invokes some sort of pleasure in a few people. I'll take that as a good thing. I don't bounce around behind the decks or toss around articles of clothing or food at anyone. I'm pretty mundane for the most part. I actually don't like the spotlight on me or any lights on me at all. I'm more a conduit than a focal point. What I play has been posted over the last decade on this site. Production material is on another site.
At this point, you're probably thinking, "Get on with it!" So, I'll oblige. I do have an origin story... which I will keep as short as possible: Started playing on decks in '98, then playing publicly in 2001 in Dallas, TX & Austin, TX. Started getting curious about production but that's another story for another day. Had I guess what you could call "residencies" at places that no longer exist. After a bad experience at a gig in 2014, I closed up shop, hoping to open back up not long afterward.
Fast forward ten years later. After playing private parties at our residence over the last five years, I feel better about going back out into the world... or just ready to make a significant footprint on the interwebz.
But, most of all, enjoy the mixes and sounds that I post on here. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this (even if you just skimmed it). And don't forget to tell your friends...
