The Savage

The Savage (aka Jon Savvage) is a South African DJ and producer whose journey through electronic music stretches back to the late 1990s, with a sound rooted in Trance, Progressive Trance, Melodic Techno, Techno and Hard Dance.

Jon began his DJ career playing bars and commercial nightclubs, but it wasn't long before he discovered the underground rave scene and the music that would ultimately define his journey — Trance. During the height of South Africa's underground club and rave culture, Jon played at legendary venues including The Hideout, Stonewater, Trampps and ESP, along with numerous other clubs and massive rave events. Immersed in the energy of the underground scene, he developed a passion for driving rhythms, hypnotic melodies and the euphoric sound that became synonymous with Trance.

The Savage is also the host of Underground Beatz on Studio Prime Radio broadcasting every Saturday evening from 8PM–10PM.
