Al Oakley aka thepoisoner runs a small studio in deep dark Cornwall UK, and lives part of the year in Hua Hin, Thailand.
Working as an artist/producer he also DJ’s regularly at Nightclubs and Festivals.
Whilst the poisoner’s music has a definite original flavour, his influences include Dead Can Dance, Zion Train, Dreadzone, Whipping Boy, Burial, Jeff Buckley, Rhythm & Sound, UNKLE, New Order and Nitzer Ebb.
The Poisoner also regularly collaborates with other artists under the collective name of Bangkok Mafia (see www.BangkokMafia.com) and often plays live with the Bangkok Mafia’s very own Mightyoak Sound System utilising a mash up of Groovebox and DJ equipment and skills.
