Ya (B.K.A Ya-B) has been one of Chicago's Top Afro-Hip Hop trendsetters for close to a decade. He is also the only "Conscious" style rapper signed with Chief Keef's mgmt team, Uncle Ro Mgmt. Ya has earned notoriety as Chicago's Premier Afro-HipHop Mc. Ya is known for his satirical cutting edge lyrics, unorthodox sampling methods and melodic rhyme schemes.
Ya-B Hails from the south side of Chicago and since a young age exhibited signs of great showmanship. Extremely bright but short-tempered as a kid, Ya was suspended indefinitely from school in Junior High. His first culture shock came when he was relocated to Lagos, Nigeria by his parents. He would study there and finish High School, but not before cutting a demo and being featured on some of the most popular television shows in Lagos. He has since performed alongside and worked with myriad of award winning artists.
