The MP's were a band at Nathan Hale High School in Seattle between 1981 and 1984. Founding members were:

Jimm McIver : Vocals
Clay Knowles : Lead guitar
Steven Fox : Bass guitar & Keyboards
Phil Hagel : Drums

Tom Masco came on board as 2nd Lead guitar and John Mortensen replaced Phil Hagel on drums in 1982 or 1983.

The entire band was elected Junior Class President, during which time they literally ruled the school like kings, pilfering the coffers of the Student Body to buy cigarettes, beer, black leather jackets and 501s, and spending most of their Student Body period eating burgers at Wendy's or Dick's Drive In. This resulted in new rules allowing only individuals to run for office in the future.

The band continued to play around Seattle for another year after graduation, then disbanded in 1984 when Steven Fox moved to London. They played one reunion show in 1985, and have since all gone their separate ways.
