Brisbane, Australia
Originally from Bournemouth, UK, I moved to Australia in 1973 before returning to live in Bournemouth in the early '90s, where I experienced the rave explosion firsthand. I spent plenty of time at local clubs like Remix and Madison's, and local raves. Needless to say, I was hooked!
I returned to Australia in late 1992, bought myself a pair of Technics SL-1200 MkII turntables and never looked back. Over the years, I've held DJ residencies in Cairns and Brisbane and have been collecting vinyl ever since.
My musical roots are firmly in the early UK rave scene — old-school hardcore, breakbeat hardcore, happy hardcore and jungle. But my tastes go well beyond that, taking in drum & bass, progressive, deep and funky house.
I've always loved a good breakbeat, a rolling bassline and a funky groove, whether it's a full-on rave tune or something deeper and more laid-back.
More than 30 years on, I'm still digging for records and enjoying the music as much as ever!
