One of your very best Rob, right into that from beginning to end.
I'd have been happy if it had just turned out to be the golden heat haze jazzscape that the outset suggested, but it went so many other places as well. The proggy detours were quite the unexpected joy.
Would never have twigged that Summer Dream track was Jack McDuff - I just associate him with hot Hammond cookers.
Shucks, thanks John, kind words indeed, very much appreciated. This version is actually the sixth or seventh iteration, with previous versions ranging from post-punk to drone. The inspiration to break the procrastination came when I heard John Gomez play “Govinda” by J.O.B. Orquestra on his Soup to Nuts show on NTS, which I can’t recommend highly enough. ✌️❤️✊
this is adding a large helping of wonderment to an otherwise soggy Monday morn here! brilliant stuff. have got your 70 waiting in the queue next for enjoyment too (the one with the brightly coloured Aurbach style cover pic). news update: I finally have a new pc lined up this week; inching toward being 'musically enabled once more... hope all good there, P🙏🤍🖖
...and that's why you're my favourite person ever Papa!! The artwork for TLOU70 is my own. The original inspiration for me drawing/painting again was Auerbach's portrait sketches. So, you, Sir, have just made my day!
Add that to the news that you are soon to be back delighting our lug-holes with your selections, happy days indeed. ✌️❤️✊

@compositionunknown No wonder it's so good if it took that much polishing!
Will be checking out John Gomez for sure...

@thelikesofus I think I'm as chuffed as you sound about that! (your artwork). I know it's a nice feeling when someone sees what you are pointing at...
and yes-yes, am looking forward to again 'putting pieces of music next to each other and sharing' (hard to shake the bug once you get it!)... 🤗
