The Lifted Brow is a bimonthly magazine from Australia and the world. Every two months we publish essays, fiction, art, comics, poetry, and commentary on everything from film, literature, TV, maths, celebrity and design.
Since our inception in 2007, we’ve been home to everyone from Christos Tsiolkas to Helen Garner, David Foster Wallace to Neil Gaiman as well as writers like Rick Moody, Karen Russell, Douglas Coupland, Heidi Julavits, Tom Bissell, Tao Lin, Sam Lipsyte, Sheila Heti, Jim Shepard, Blake Butler and Benjamin Kunkel. At our live shows, we’ve hosted performances by Spiral Stairs, Bachelorette, Jonny Telafone, Post Paint, Mere Women, Angie Hart, and Washington. Our regular contributors include the likes of Benjamin Law, Becky Harkins-Cross, Eddie Campbell, Anna Krien, Gillian Terzis, Noel Freibert, Renee French, and Vijay Khurana.
