I was born with a pair of headphones on. As soon as I could crawl I escaped my crib and made my way along the High Street to the local record shop where I fell in love with spinning pieces of black plastic. Now, over half a century later I get to play many of these on a Saturday evening and broadcast them across the airwaves to many many happy ears on the Sonic Tonic Radio Show.
Shows are a melange of carefully curated 60's garage, freakbeat, psychedelia and rock, intermingled with a small dose of 80's and 90's alternative, and a large spoonful of contemporary psych and DIY punk.
Expect some Beefheart, Joy Division, Velvet Underground, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Slowdive, Spacemen 3, Jesus and Mary Chain, William Burroughs and much more.
