The first hour of JAZZ OUT! is a pretty traditional mix. It’ll open with Wynton Marsalis doing 'Twilight' from his first album. Other selections include 'Blue Skies' from Dinah Washington, 'Barbados' by Charlie Parker and 'Wigglin’' from Freddie Redd, just to name a few. The second hour holds more contemporary fare, opening with saxophonist Chris Potter doing 'Hold It' from his album 'Circuits'. Nora Jones sings 'New York City', the band, Enemy, performs 'Close Up' and GoGo Penguin does 'Totem' - along with many other artists - including Jethro Tull. The final hour mellows out a bit with such selections as 'Improv-Daniel Dust' by King Crimson, 'Hadje' from Cyminology, 'It’s Okay to Let Me Go' by Joy Guidry, 'Sleeping Flowers' from Anoushka Shankar and many more.
