THE SELF has played numerous shows together with Mark Maenad as BLACK OYSTERS (live elektro/techno/rave) since 2009. Shows include a sold out NYE at Studio K, Amsterdam Dance Event, Panama, Paard van Troje, Andere Koek, Winston and many others. Shared the stage with the likes of MOTOR, T.Raumschmiere, Krause, Kraak&Smaak and Aucan.
Where BLACK OYSTERS was a ferocious hurricane, THE SELF aims to let the music do the work. A quality track selection from a number of related genres showcases an enormous depth in every set performed. THE SELF has already played at Andere Koek, BAUHAUS, Sziget, Paradiso, WORM Rotterdam (during the International Film Festival), Pand14, Mediamatic and Incubate, among others.
