I started learning to blend music in 2020-21 when the world was on timeout. My love for music however goes back to my childhood when my father was a bass and drum player for his band (The ABC Band) back in the mid 1970’s. During the 1980’s when hip hop was gaining influence my father got into djing, that’s when hip hop entered my soul. I taught myself to dj in the 80’s when I was a teenager but that was short lived. For the next 30+years I was busy parenting but when the pandemic gave me a pause I with the assistance of my oldest son, got a new turntable controllers and software to begin my long awaited return to Djing. DJ TGQ1blendz was created and now i’m starting to takeoff with what I love…MUSIC!
