The Texas Music Office’s Texas Music Mixtape delivers current coverage of Texas music news, interviews with Texas music business professionals, and highlights music from artists born, based, or raised in Texas. The program also examines national and international issues affecting the music industry from a uniquely Texas perspective.
V. Marc Fort is the host of the Texas Music Office’s Texas Music Mixtape program. Marc also works as the Marketing & Communications Specialist at the Texas Music Office, within the Office of the Governor. Fort has more than 30 years of music experience performing in more than 10 bands (Schatzi, The F*ckemos, bo bud greene) that have toured with and opened for various musical acts all across North America – and around the world. While playing in those bands, Fort has worked as a recording artist for various indie labels including Last Beat, and Doghouse Records, as well as major labels such as Scotti Brothers and Hollywood/Mammoth (Walt Disney Co.).
