Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, DJ Savoirfaire grew up on listening to the "Hot Mix 5" mix on WBMX 102.7 FM in the late 1980's.
Deeply influenced by "Classic Chicago House" artists such as Farley Jackmaster Funk, Fast Eddie, Joe Smooth, Tyree Cooper, Fingers Inc. and others, he continues to pay homage to this art-form by incorporating it in his own unique, distinct style of music what he calls "House Fusion;" classic Chicago House music perfectly blended with different genres; dance, rock, etc.
He has also recently begun creating his own tracks and remixes.
