In honor of Black History Month, I'm presenting a rough survey of different sounds from all over Africa. Hear many nations and musicians both famous and lesser known. Nigeria, South Africa, Ethiopia, Mali, Ghana, and more are represented. Enjoy!

Thankx for the mix. Good stuff.
@David Thomas very possible--which track? I've heard Blackalicious sample a Fela bass line. Have you heard Dr. No's Ethiopium? http://www.stonesthrow.com/store/album/ohno/dr-no-s-ethiopium or the Fela Soul project? So much great material. I'm trying to get another African mix together... maybe by the fall.
think im hearing a bassline in there that was sampled by the roots.
Love this, and the fact that it opened with a song from the craddle of civilization was amazing. Thank you.
This is a crazy mix. Loving these sounds. A great lot of African music. Keep up the good work, techdef.
yeahhh I could listen to that Postal Workers ditty all day
Thanks--it's sort of an amazing uplift. To transform a boring activity into a percussion jam!! Thought it made a nice closer to the mix.
Loved that Cancelling Stamps tune.
